Our training

Our workshops are designed for therapeutic practitioners seeking to deepen their understanding of addiction therapy. Whether you are a seasoned professional looking to expand your expertise or a student in training, we equip you with essential knowledge and practical skills to approach addiction in the therapy room with greater confidence and effectiveness

What will I take away?

  • Introduction to Addiction:  Understanding the biological, psychological and social factors contributing to addictive processes, supporting practitioners to approach treatment holistically.

  • Understanding the Addictive Process: How addiction progresses by altering brain chemistry, reinforcing behavioural patterns, and creating cycles of cravings, tolerance, and withdrawal

  • Therapeutic Approaches: An introduction to evidence-based treatment modalities, such as cognitive-behavioural therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness and harm reduction strategies.

  • Ethical Considerations: Best practices for therapeutic boundaries, and client-centred care.

  • Real-World Case Studies: Learning from practical examples to deepen understanding of addiction therapy in different contexts.

  • Takeaway Worksheets: Tools for the therapy room that students can use in their practice.
